Careers in the common good
What is Careers in the Common Good?
Careers in the Common Good (CCG) was inspired by the question: how to do good and make good money at the same time? To this end, we have organised various events and talked to people from the most diverse background. We have not found the answer yet. And probably, there is no one-size-fit-all answer either. Therefore we continue on the quest and keep asking the same question.

Why?
We desire to contribute to a more open, innovative Eastern Europe. Our mission is to inspire young adults to apply their passion for the enrichment of their communities: there are as many paths as there are people, and we seek to empower young adults to find the path that is right for them.
How?
Our main topic is career choice. And we have a lot of questions: How can one find their paths, their values or their mission? What does it mean to live well, and what is enough money? How can profession and passion be combined? How can one discover their calling?
We work out of passion and in order to learn and grow. A small team of volunteer spread across five countries and three time zones take care of most organisational matters. Our panellists and facilitators come from a wide network from Europe and beyond: they work in different sectors, fields and positions, but all of them contribute to the common good. We're part of the umbrella organisation Pro Progressione Ltd, located in Budapest, Hungary.
What?
To answer questions of a career with impact, we organise various type of events. Here are a few examples:
Regular panel discussions where young professionals share their career story in a reflective and honest way.
Yearly Erasmus+ youth exchanges where we explore the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and possible career journeys.
Further workshops and trainings, such as Youth in Culture (co-financed by Visegrad Fund), Social Project Training or Career Path Seminar.
In-person Career Reflection Circles where anyone can share and discuss their questions and dreams.
We also give workshops — online or in person — by request.
