Careers in the common good
What is Careers in the Common Good?
Careers in the Common Good (CCG) was created out of a desire to contribute to a more open, innovative Eastern Europe. Our mission is to inspire young adults to apply their passion for the enrichment of their communities: there are as many paths as there are people, and we seek to empower young adults to find the path that is right for them.
What do we do?
Through workshops, panel discussions and annual youth exchanges, we showcase tangible career paths, build a community of forward-thinking individuals and encourage youth to think outside the box as you embark upon their career. With themes of sustainability, human rights and entrepreneurship, our programmes emphasise self-reflection and career choice.
We encourage participants to develop their Social Project (offered via the Social Project Training, during Youth Week or upon request). In these workshops, you can learn the foundational skills necessary to develop new or existing projects of your choosing, which you can then implement in your own communities. We use the UN's Sustainable Development Goals as a framework to help you narrow your focus and project priorities. In addition to the project outcome, participants come away with a new skill set to apply to future endeavours. Workshops—online or in person—are offered throughout the year as well as by request.
We believe that learning should neither start nor end in the classroom, and we bring this to life with interactive, nonformal methods, peer feedback and collaboration and dynamic young facilitators. Your passion is our passion: we are driven by the opportunity to support youth in finding ways to follow their dreams. Whether you have a project in mind and just need the tools or knowledge to bring it to life, or you want to make a difference but aren’t sure how, we’re excited to work with you.
